Book Club
Upper-Intermediate/Advanced Level
Our Book Club series is a fun opportunity to practice your English reading skills, expand your vocabulary and improve your speaking and pronunciation. Join us to discuss novels, short stories, non-fiction books and to interact with other learners! Each week the students read the part of the book scheduled for the week (usually 20 to 25 pages) and do guided vocabulary and critical thinking analysis. Once in class, all students will have the opportunity to read selected parts out-loud, express their opinions, deepen their understanding of the text and, most importantly, engage with other fellow learners.
English & Podcasts
Upper-Intermediate/Advanced Level
Our Podcast series is specifically designed for students who wish to improve their listening skills, expand their vocabulary and practice speaking. By analyzing the language thought-provoking topics and participating in discussions based on selected podcasts. The podcasts serve as a catalyst for thought provoking cultural and linguistic examination. This series offers the students an opportunity to express themselves and to become more familiar with the selected topic. Each 8-week course introduces a specific topic and all podcasts are used to deeply investigate the chosen topic.
Reading Circle
Intermediate Level
Our Reading Circle series is for shy intermediate readers who would like to improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, and reading skills. Reading Circle is different from a typical book club. In the Reading Circle, everything is done in class, we read together out loud before our discussion, the pace is slower and a lot of support is offered. Join us to improve your reading skills and be a part of a community!
What's in the News?
Upper-Intermediate/Advanced Level
Our What’s in the News series is designed for learners who wish to be in the know and engage in critical thinking. We read titles from major news sources, learn selected vocabulary and discuss the news in class. Each 8-week course focuses on a different topic, which culminates in a personalized project. Start your day with the press review, expand your vocabulary and engage in a conversation about current events!
Coffee & Grammar
Intermediate/Upper Intermediate Level
Our Grammar & Coffee series is specifically designed for busy learners who wish to brush up on commonly used grammar points. This unique 8-week series focuses on a specific grammar topic and functional language. Each class in the series is used to learn about and practice a different aspect of the chosen topic. We guide you through each grammar topic step-by-step and provide support each step of the way. Start your day with speaking, pronunciation and writing exercises to increase your comfort and competence with grammar!
Citizenship Prep
Intermediate Level
Our Citizenship Test Preparation series is designed for US citizenship applicants. Once you’ve made a very personal decision to apply for US citizenship, we can help prepare you for the next step – your naturalization interview. Our course helps you understand and practice all components of the test: speaking, reading, writing and civics. By being able to answer questions about your N-400 application, demonstrating your ability to write, read and answer 100 civics questions, you will feel more confident and comfortable at your interview.
English & Cinema
Upper-Intermediate/Advanced Level
This course is aimed at students who wish to expand their knowledge of English language through cinema. The films serve as a catalyst for thought provoking cultural and linguistic examination. By watching and discussing movies and TV-shows, students will improve pronunciation and their ability to speak and listen. This class offers the students an opportunity to express themselves, learn modern language and participate in discussions based on selected topics & scenes. Each 8-week course introduces a new topic and cinema is used to deeply investigate the chosen topic.
General English
Beginner, Low-Intermediate & Intermediate Levels
Our General English series is specifically designed for students who wish to improve their skills in a variety of settings. In this class, you will focus on four main language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. In addition, you will work on improving your grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Taking a general English course is a good preparation for our more specialized courses. This series helps the students to communicate an opportunity to communicate successfully in real-life situations. Join us for a fun-filled language practice!
