Online Class Policies

Policies for Online Classes

Please review the following policies and rules of conduct for all online classes with Catsyak. When you purchase assessment, consultation, 1:1 classes, small group classes, and/or online courses from Catsyak, you agree to the following policies and rules of conduct.

Netiquette

Show respect: Show common courtesy, dress appropriately, take turns, be helpful, agree and disagree calmly and politely.

Space: Set up your space where there are limited or no distractions.  A room without distractions will help you focus, take better notes and allow you to learn and understand the material better. Since most microphones are very sensitive, stay away from moving your laptop or eating while you are in class.

General conduct: be polite and participate. Consider how your attitude impacts your fellow students and the instructor. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from discussing inappropriate topics, hate speech, swearing, rude language, insulting comments.

Catsyak reserves the right to exit any student from class if the student is disruptive or disrespectful. Your access to the course and all its material may be immediately revoked for violating netiquette.

Scheduling Classes

Assessments, consults and 1:1 classes are scheduled via an online scheduling application Calendly. It is the student’s responsibility to make sure the selected time zone is correct for accurate class times. When you schedule your class, you will receive a confirmation by email and a reminder email 12 hours before your class. Failure to make the full payment at the time of scheduling will result in the cancellation.

Purchasing

All lessons, assessments and consults and are to be paid in advance via PayPal. It is the student’s responsibility to cover any transaction fees.  Catsyak cannot accept checks. Invoices may also be emailed directly upon request.  Your payment authorizes only one person to access and participate in the course.

Student Responsibility

Please provide accurate contact details to ensure communication with Catsyak. Since all important information is communicated by email, please check your email regularly.

Late Arrival

Lessons start on time. If you arrive late or have technical difficulties, we  cannot refund you or make-up lost time.

One-on-One Classes

Always inform us if you will be late. If you are late for a class without notice,  we will wait and keep the class open for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, we will close the class and you will not receive a refund or the opportunity to reschedule.

Small Group Classes

Always inform us if you will be late. We may lock the class after 10 minutes, which means you will not be able to join if you are more than 10 minutes late.
